Once slated for extinction, the annual report can certainly relate. Here at Treleven Photography, the annual report is alive and well! This year, I welcomed a new client, The University of Minnesota Law School, to our busy production schedule.
The world of law is plagued by a stereotype of formality and stodginess. To combat this notion, I finished the images in what now seems to be my trademark style: high-contrast, desaturation and, yet, rich color. The look is truly modern, and the client fearlessly embraced it. Even when I photographed a judge and two barristers in the typical dark wood-paneled courtroom, the color treatment gave the image a cutting-edge snap!
In addition to the color, other compositional elements tie the images together as a series. Can you spot my creative decisions?
