The Annual Annual

Mark Twain once quipped, "The rumors of my demise have been greatly exaggerated."

Once slated for extinction, the annual report can certainly relate. Here at Treleven Photography, the annual report is alive and well!
This year, I welcomed a new client, The University of Minnesota Law School, to our busy production schedule.

The world of law is plagued by a stereotype of formality and stodginess. To combat this notion, I finished the images in what now seems to be my trademark style: high-contrast, desaturation and, yet, rich color. The look is truly modern, and the client fearlessly embraced it. Even when
I photographed a judge and two barristers in the typical dark wood-paneled courtroom, the color treatment gave the image a cutting-edge snap!

In addition to the color, other compositional elements tie the images together as a series. Can you spot my creative decisions?
